[KN] Income from employment. [AN] This means that in order to satisfy physiological needs, the income earned from work must be high enough to meet essential needs. [AN+] This may be satisfied at work due to businesses avoiding paying workers through a piece rate system as the pay may vary everyday with output. [AN] This means that the health and safety of employees must be prioritized, as any negligence in this may incur employees' dissatisfaction to work harder and increase efficiency. [AN+] This may be satisfied at work by providing workers with safety gear to work with dangerous methods of production. This may make them feel more important to the company and dedicate them to work harder.

[Kn] Physiological needs refer to the basic necessities required e.g. food, water, shelter
[An] A business could pay enough salary to the workers who currently stand at the physiological level and help them pay for their health e.g. healthcare insurance
[An+] This gives the employees a sense of belonging to the business as they understand that the business cares for them, and hence, they try to become more efficient

[Kn] Security needs refer to needs where employees do not need to be worried about their jobs
[An] Thus, when employees work without the worry that the next day, they may lose their jobs, they are going to work even harder and be more motivated because they have a secured job e.g. through employment contracts
[An+] Thus, these employees are more likely to be more productive and efficient.
