[KN] Bring new ideas and practices into the business. [AN] This means that external recruitment allows business to employ people with different experiences and skills that currently exist in its business. [AN+] This provides a chance for the current employees to learn from the skills and qualifications of new workers. Hence, employee development may rise leaving to greater self esteem and efficiency.

[KN] Avoids resentment. [AN] As internal recruitment may cause resentment if existing employees feel jealous of the internal applicant and they may feel that they deserved promotion too, this may not be the case in external recruitment. [AN+] This may bring coordination between staff rather than conflicts and bring out a team spirit as opportunities to learn rise.

An: Hiring external candidates could foster a feeling of healthy competition which motivates existing employees to work harder and achieve more
