[DEF]: workforce planning is to forecast the number of employees and their skills that would be needed in order for the business to achieve it's objectives now and in the future
[KN]: HR departments have to calculate the future employment of the business
[AN]: if it is not done properly, it can lead to too few people with the right skills

[KN]: all the new employees must be skilled according to the the ones required by the business
[AN]: hence, there efforts would help increase the business's effectiveness

DEF: Workforce planning is to forecast the number of employees and their skills that would be needed
KN: Done inorder to allign workforce with business objectives, plans and projects
AN: If done so than objectives will be made realistic and achievable

KN: Done inorder to ensure busines is not wasting resources on hiring extra employees
AN: When budget is taken care of business starts acting cost effectively which leads to an increase in profit

[Def] Workforce planning is forecasting the skills and number of workers required by the organisation to achieve its objectives.
[KN] Thinking ahead to meet the future goals of business. [AN] This may be done by carrying out a workforce audit first to identify current existing skills and qualifications and then planning on increasing the range of skills required in the workforce to fill the gaps.
[KN] Ensuring that the organization has the right people. [AN] This means that workforce planning helps to hire the right people for the right job. This may reduce labour turnover and people may not leave if the job they end up in is the one that suits their skill set.

[KN] HR department needs to calculate the future employment needs of the business
[AN] if the HR department fails to do this, there may be too many workers with the wrong skills

[KN] workforce planning also involves checking skills of existing workers
[AN] this will allow the organisation to provide training where needed.
